The SJVRC ONE MILE FOR ONE CHILD INC, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established with a vision to inspire and empower its members to adopt healthy lifestyles while creating opportunities for meaningful community engagement through volunteering and fundraising efforts aimed at supporting underprivileged children in Vietnam and across the globe.
Over the past nine years, we have built a robust framework, foundation, and infrastructure that has transformed our initiative into a thriving network of volunteers and projects across Vietnam. What began in just one province has now expanded to encompass 33 provinces, with over 100 dedicated volunteers and more than 15 impactful projects launched annually. Our commitment to continuous learning drives us to implement new initiatives that effectively support underprivileged children, helping them secure brighter futures—a promise we made from day one. Furthermore, our charity work is actively engaged and hands-on through our extensive network and infrastructure that enable us to offer unique opportunities for our members, families, sponsors, donors, and partners to enjoy vacations in Vietnam while engaging in charitable work. Here are some of our completed and ongoing projects in Vietnam:
Beginning of last year 2024, we began a new journey into Northern Thailand with the same mission and vision that we have built Vietnam for the last 9 years!
“ Việc thiện nguyện quan trọng nhất là ” làm đúng”. Việc trò chuyện như vậy giúp chúng ta hiểu đúng hoàn cảnh, và tìm ra phương án hỗ trợ đúng, nhiều khi tìm ra cơ hội cho các cháu còn quan trọng hơn tặng các cháu quà. Nhiều khi chia sẻ tình cảm, tôn trọng các cháu còn quan trọng hơn là giúp đỡ ”
“The most important volunteer work is “doing the right thing”. Such conversations help us properly understand the situation, and find the right support plan. Sometimes finding opportunities for children is more important than giving them gifts. Sometimes sharing feelings and respecting children is more important than helping.”
